It’s Who You Know

What follows is one of the many definitions of inspiration:

The act of drawing in, especially the inhalation of air into the lungs.

A writer needs fresh air and socialization; it’s who you know that gets you places. The journey starts with one small step, a cyber handshake, a tipple of whiskey between the like-minded. We found writers for this first issue of The Literary Bohemian by taking online writing classes, attending poetry readings, reacquainting ourselves with past mentors, and just plain talking to people. This next issue will be full of work from the Democratic Republic of Strangers, and we look forward to showcasing their travel-inspired poetry, postcard prose, and travelogues. Take a deep breath.
